Join The Helsinki Baltic Herring Fair And Other Events This October

The Helsinki Baltic Herring Fair kicks off a season of festivities with a celebration of the seafood culture in Finland from Early October for several days of tastings and culinary delights. 

During this event you can join a foraging excursion to forests just outside the capital on a Feel the Nature Tour. Getting there is easy either on the bus or by arranging a representative from “Feel the Nature” to pick you up. Together, you'll go foraging mushrooms and berries in the forests the Nuuksio National Park in Espoo.

Along with the Baltic Herring Fair in Helsinki, there are many events to enjoy, which include including a anniversary exhibition in the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, the Helsinki Antique, Art and Collector Fair, an Irish Music Festival, as well as the Sailing Ship Day. 

Or, head to the Market Square in the South Harbour, where Fishermen and women from the coastal areas and archipelago gather to Helsinki to sell their products. With so much to experience in Helsinki, you'll find each visit is rewarding and memorable!
