Catch Films, Concerts, And Special Events At The Woodstock Film Festival,

Presenting an annual program, a year-round schedule of films, music and art-related activities that promote artists, culture, inspired learning and diversity, the Woodstock Film Festival is all this and more.

The opening night film for the Woodstock Film Festival is the BROADWAY IDIOT, directed by Doug Hamilton. This feature documentary follows Green Day lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, as he works with Broadway directors and actors to recreate the hit album, American Idiot, into a theatrical musical experience.

BROADWAY IDIOT takes viewers behind the scenes of production as rock stars and stage stars collide to create something never seen before, revealing the creative choices and challenges made by Grammy® winner Billie Joe and Tony® winning director Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) throughout their collaborative journey. Hamilton’s documentary goes beyond a making-of in showing the creativity, passion and guts of Green Day as they take their careers in an unconventional direction.

BROADWAY IDIOT will screen at the Woodstock Playhouse on Oct. 3 at 6:45 pm and will have a following screening at 9:30 pm. The film will be released in theaters and on VOD following its WFF

Celebrating its 14th Annual Festival from October 2-6, the Woodstock Film Festival will include an extraordinary line-up of fiercely independent films, panels, concerts and special events in not only in Woodstock, but also the neighboring towns of Rhinebeck, Kingston, Rosendale and Saugerties.
