Living History Tours Revived at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center

This summer, the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center will once again offer living history tours led by interpreters in mid-18th century clothing. The tour takes visitors through the mansion house, the family kitchen and the school house, where they can learn firsthand about rural education in 1853. Tours will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in Late June through Early Sept from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In 2008, the multifaceted living museum and working farm suffered a great loss as a fire destroyed a dairy barn and farmer's cottage. The barn is scheduled to be rebuilt this year. Visit http://www.norlands.org/programs.html to learn more.
