Pretend City Children’s Museum is a unique museum credited for hands-on learning about everyday life. Children can run their own store and other businesses and learn more about what their parents do everyday in the work field.
ReplyDeleteOne of the fun exhibits at the Pretend City Children’s Museum is based on the Curious George™ books and popular Curious George television show on PBS KIDS®. Children will learn along with Curious George about math, science and more adventures.
This exciting exhibit run through Late January, and during the exhibit children can also celebrate their birthday with Curious George! Among the other events taking place at the Pretend City Children’s Museum is the Parent's Night Out, Children's Night In: Polar Express Pajama Party! Kids 4 – 8 will love the magical journey aboard the Polar Express as they re-enact the Polar Express adventure, and enjoy dinner and a special snowflake desert.
On December 19th Curious George Will Start The Countdown to Christmas Kick-Off Event that is based on the beloved children’s movie, “A Very Monkey Christmas.” The 6-day countdown will include all of the things George does to prepare for Christmas. Join the Christmas carolers who will be singing throughout Pretend City, enjoy fun activities and stories, and children can create their own wrapping paper. Kids will also enjoy the fun gift and Christmas themed games, and a visits from a special guest. Parents can also join the fun, and enter to win a “Curious about Christmas” Gift Package!
Then, on December 21st, the Pretend City Children’s Museum will host the Dong Zhi, Chinese Winter Solstice Festival, which celebrates the winter solstice. Did You KNow? This is one of the important Chinese celebrations and the main winter festival throughout East Asia.
During the event families can learn more about the traditions and customs associated with Dong Zhi, enjoy a festive Puppet Show, which offer lessons on family togetherness, honoring ancestors, giving thanks for the past year’s bounty, and the anticipation of good fortune in the upcoming year.
